Former Florida Gators QB, DJ Lagway, spoke out on his social media about his time playing in The Swamp leaving many fans questioning the program.

Lagway told USA Today Sports that during his time in Gainesville, he never stepped foot in a classroom while enrolled at the school and was limited to online school work at home as a way to avoid fans rushing him. He later spoke out on social media, hinting that it was the school's idea.

“I was in a bubble down there, I didn’t feel like a normal person. I didn’t even know what the campus looked like. I was really closed off. I didn’t really hang out with my teammates. Yeah, I was depressed. I just stayed in my own land. Stayed out of the way."

Lagway is a former five-star recruit from the 2024 class and was rated the number one QB in the class as well. In two years for the Gators, he threw for 4,179 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions.
