Richard Anderson, the nation’s top-rated defensive line prospect and the immovable anchor of Edna Karr’s undefeated front, has been selected as the defensive captain of the ALL‑USA Southeast Football Team.
The 6-foot-4, 340‑pound senior delivered one of the most dominant seasons in recent Louisiana history. That comes after a dominant junior season in which he recorded 44 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 2 interceptions, and a defensive touchdown.
Edna Karr finished 14-0 after a 49-14 state-championship game win over St. Augustine.
One of the most coveted recruits in America, Anderson reaffirmed his commitment and officially signed with LSU during the early signing period.
Along with the other players selected to the ALL-USA Southwest Football Team, Anderson is a finalist for the national ALL-USA Football Team, which will be announced on Dec. 30.
The Southeast region includes honorees from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
