On Thursday afternoon, Nov. 6, Wisconsin Badgers director of athletics Chris McIntosh informed the team that Luke Fickell will remain as the head football coach next season.

"I can see a plan that we can execute and I can see a way for us to be successful and competitive in ‘26 and beyond," McIntosh told the Journal Sentinel on Nov. 6.

The Badgers are 2-6 overall, 0-5 in the Big Ten and have lost 11 straight games against power-conference opponents dating to last season. "Fire Fickell" chants have routinely been heard at football games during UW's struggles on the field.

Fickell, in his third season as Badgers coach, has a 15-19 record at Wisconsin.

Do you agree with Wisconsin's decision to bring back Fickell for the 2026 season? You can cast your vote below and we will post the results in the next few days.
