If any team in the country deserves a week off, it’s Alabama.

The Tide has run the SEC gauntlet the last five weeks and somehow emerged unscathed, the season-opening loss to Florida State now a distant memory.

In climbing from No. 21 back up to No. 4 in the polls, Alabama has shown its strength as a closer with narrow road wins at Georgia, Missouri and South Carolina. Add those results to more comfortable home victories over ranked Vanderbilt and Tennessee teams, and the Tide is right back among the upper echelon of title contenders.

While Heisman contender Ty Simpson and Co. will get a break this week, three more massive conference tests await them beginning next Saturday.

The Sporting News has everything you need to know in order to watch Alabama’s next game.
