Does Georgia football play a game this week?

Georgia football hopes to be playing well into January when teams who advance in the 12-team playoff bracket will determine a national champion.

The No. 4 Bulldogs are sitting tied for first in the SEC with Kentucky with a 4-1 conference record but are coming off their first loss of the season, a 27-24 upset by Auburn on Oct. 17 in Athens.

Georgia (6-1) will have to wait until Oct. 31 to get back on the winning track.

"It doesn't shock me at all, guys, that we did not play our best,” coach Kirby Smart said after the Auburn loss. “But it should not happen. And everybody wants to say, well, it was ‘cause of this. It was ‘cause of that, ‘cause of their off week, ‘cause of Alabama. Hey, at the end of the day, we ain't played our best game yet. And that's what we're in search of. That's my job to try to get them to do it."
