Drew Mestemaker's spectacular TD run powers Oklahoma State over Oregon

A year ago, Oklahoma State went to Oregon and was pummeled, 69-3. A week ago, the Cowboys opened the Eric Morris error and were stunned by Tulsa.

That's all in the rear-view mirror.

Oklahoma State, led by transfer quarterback Drew Mestemaker, stunned sixth-ranked Oregon, 39-31, Saturday in Stillwater.

Mestemaker threw for 317 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He rushed for another 109. He scored the game-winning touchdown on a spectacular touchdown run.

Oklahoma State outgained Oregon, 554-281.

A year ago in the 66 point loss, the Cowboys were outgained by the Ducks, 631-211.

Morris came to Oklahoma State from North Texas. He brought Mestemaker and others with him through the transfer portal.

There were 20 NFL scouts, multiple executives and Atlanta Falcons president Matt Ryan at the game to watch Oregon QB Dante Moore, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2027 NFL draft.

They came away impressed … by Mestemaker.
