Easton Royal highlights Texas commits to attend game vs Ohio State

The Texas Longhorns handled their business easily in the season opener with a 59-7 beatdown of Texas State. The No. 4 ranked team in the country will have their biggest test of the season at home this Saturday when top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes come to town.
It will be an electric atmosphere inside of Texas Memorial Stadium as this matchup is a preview of two teams that are expected to make the College Football Playoff, and a win for either team will give them the leg up as far as seeding goes.
For the Longhorns, this will also be a prime opportunity for them to further impress some of the players they have committed in the 2027 class. Per Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, they'll have a star-studded list in attendance.

Royal is the top-ranked prospect in the 2027 class for Texas, and he's listed as the No. 5 overall recruit nationally. There were rumblings this summer about him flipping to LSU. Getting him to be in attendance for this game works in the Longhorns favor in terms of keep the Tigers at bay.
Camara, Williams-Callis, Currie, and Williams round out their top five commits for the cycle, which makes them having a strong showing even more important. Texas currently has the No. 6 ranked class in 2027. So, they certainly want to keep these prospects on board, and beating Ohio State will assist immensely in the regard.
All the motivation is there for Texas to pull off this upset. Now, we'll see if they can make it happen on the field in a few days.
