Eldon product, Helias grad to join Missouri football from K-State

Missouri football has landed a local product out of the portal.

Will Kemna, who is from Eldon, Missouri, and was a Helias High grad, is transferring from Kansas State to Mizzou. He redshirted as a true freshman for the Wildcats last season after committing as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2025.

Mizzou now has 11 total commitments out of the transfer portal, which includes three offensive linemen.

The Tigers also have added Arizona State starting left tackle Josh Atkins and versatile Mississippi State transfer Luke Work.

Missouri has a need for a starting tackle in this window, and depth in the room also became a priority because of outgoing transfers.

Mizzou lost reserve tackles Jayven Richardson (Colorado), Johnny Williams IV (North Texas), Jaylen Early and Brandon Solis, as well as freshmen Keiton Jones (Kansas State) and Henry Fenuku (North Texas) to the transfer portal.

Kemna is 6 foot 4 and 268 pounds and is unlikely to immediately enter the Tigers’ starting lineup up front. He was ranked as the No. 55 offensive tackle in his high school class, and was the No. 10 prospect in the state of Missouri, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He had Power-conference offers from Nebraska, Duke, Cincinnati and Iowa State.

While a senior at Helias, he made the MSHSAA Class 5 title game and earned first-team all-state honors from the Missouri Football Coaches Association.

Mizzou is still likely to add at least one more offensive lineman in this portal window. Depending on the Tigers’ plans for the starting five, a right tackle still appears to be a position of need.
