Three-star cornerback recruit Nash Johnson has committed to the Auburn Tigers. Johnson was a top target for the Georgia Bulldogs prior to flipping his commitment from Alabama to Auburn, but the cornerback appears to have found a new home with the Tigers.

At 6-foot, 170 pounds, Johnson could have been an excellent fit in the Dawgs’ secondary if he committed to Georgia. The Dawgs remained firmly in the mix for Johnson following his decommitment from Alabama, but the recruit decided Auburn was the best fit and plans to play for the Tigers during his freshman campaign in 2027. The Georgia native was a star at Powder Springs High School, as Johnson will look to shine throughout his senior campaign in 2026.

Johnson is ranked as the No. 59 cornerback and the No. 590 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is listed as the No. 71 recruit in Georgia and Johnson could quickly begin to work his way up the rankings with a strong senior season later this fall. The cornerback will prove to be a major addition to Auburn’s secondary in 2027, and the Bulldogs can now turn elsewhere following his commitment to the Tigers.

Georgia continues to target some of the top talent from the class of 2027. Five-star DL Marcus Fakatou took an official visit to Athens this past weekend, while three-star EDGE Olayiwola Taiwo has committed to Georgia along with three other recruits in the past week.
