One of the top recruits in the 2027 class was recently predicted to join a BIG-10 powerhouse, but he made sure to let everyone know where he stands.
The Alabama Crimson Tide has been going for quality over quantity in the 2027 recruiting class. The Tide boasts only six hard commits for the 2027 class, but two of them are among the best players at their respective positions: LB Kenneth Simon II and RB Elijah Haven.
The one position where Alabama has always been rich in talent, however, has yet to receive a commitment for said class. That would be the wide receiver position, where Alabama has cleaned up in recent years, even under Kalen DeBoer. Well, they are targeting one of the best in the upcoming cycle, who, despite being predicted to go to Indiana recently, put out a firm statement on where things stand in his process.
Facts about Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class
- Currently ranked 38th nationally.
- Headlined by QB Elijah Haven.
- Contains six hard recruits.
5-star WR Monshun Sales shuts down talk of Indiana prediction
“I keep my head down and work. I don’t talk to anybody. I don’t care about the criticism, the predictions, the cameras, etc. I only care about GOD & Lawrence North in this process. If it isn’t about those things, don’t hit my line.” – Sales (via X-Twitter)
The tweet comes on the heels of a prediction from Steve Wiltfong, who logged Sales to Indiana with a 60% confidenece level. Sales plays high school football in the state of Indiana but his family is from Alabama.
The five-star recruit is ranked as the best wide receiver in the 2027 class, and he’s as college-ready as they come. Already over 6-5 and close to 200 pounds, Sales is the kind of elite perimeter threat that every big program in the country covets.
Earlier this year, he was predicted to sign with Alabama. Then came the prediction to IU. The facts of the matter are that his recruitment is still open, and beyond that, he is slated to visit the Tide in Tuscaloosa later this month.
Despite having only six commitments, if Alabama can lure Sales in, that would give them the best quarterback and best wide receiver in the 2027 class, which would be huge for the Crimson Tide going forward.
