ESPN analyst sees Indiana, Curt Cignetti atop college football for the foreseeable future

Indiana football burst onto the national scene in 2024, its first season under head coach Curt Cignetti, winning 11 regular season games and crashing the first 12-team College Football Playoff. The Hoosiers rose even higher in 2025, going undefeated in the regular season, earning the playoff’s No. 1-seed following the Big Ten Championship win and running through said playoff for the program’s first national championship.
At least one ESPN analyst believes Cignetti and Indiana are here to stay at the top of the sport.
Dusty Dvoracek, a former defensive lineman at Oklahoma and the NFL’s Chicago Bears and a current ESPN analyst, joined Sportscenter on Monday to share his thoughts on the Hoosiers.
“I expect they’re back in the College Football Playoff,” Dvoracek said of the Hoosiers ahead of the 2026 season. “They’re gonna compete right there at the very top of the Big Ten. We just need to get accustomed to, Curt Cignetti is going to have this program at the top of college football for the foreseeable future.”
