ESPN Announces ‘College GameDay’ Location for Week 12

ESPN’s “College GameDay” was in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday in Week 11 ahead of the top 10 showdown between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the BYU Cougars.

It was all Texas Tech as the Red Raiders dominated the Cougars 29-7.

With the win, Texas Tech improved to 9-1 on the season, with its only loss coming to the Arizona State Sun Devils.

With Week 12 approaching, ESPN has announced where “College GameDay” will head next weekend.

There were several ranked matchups to choose from, including the No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners vs. the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide, the No. 20 Iowa Hawkeyes vs. the No. 19 USC Trojans and the No. 11 Texas Longhorns vs. the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs.

However, the network opted to go with the No. 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. the No. 24 Pittsburgh Panthers.

Pittsburgh has been a surprise this season as it stands at 7-2. The Panthers have racked up five straight wins to enter the College Football Playoff rankings.

As for Notre Dame (7-2), the Fighting Irish have won seven straight games.

Kickoff between Notre Dame and Pittsburgh is scheduled for noon ET and will air on ABC.
