ESPN Announces New College Football Show, 'Bussin’ & Pate on Campus'

The NFL may be king over at ESPN, but college football is (at worst) the prince. As the 2026 college football season approaches, the network is looking to expand its coverage and is bringing on several popular creators to help them.

On Thursday, ESPN announced that the debut of "Bussin' & Pate on Campus" with Josh Pate and the Bussin' with the Boys duo of Will Compton and Taylor Lewan will begin airing on Fridays during the upcoming college football season. Much like College GameDay, the show will go from campus to campus ahead of marquee games.

The first two destinations for this season will be September 4 at Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the Clemson-LSU game. That edition of the show will air on ESPN2.

The following Friday will see the show go to Ann Arbor for the big SEC vs. Big Ten tilt between Oklahoma and Michigan. That show will be on ESPN.

Looking forward?

As popular as the Bussin' show and Josh Pate are, fans on X seem a little mixed on if the show will actually be worth watching:

"Can't tell if this is going to be a good or hard watch," one user on X replied.

"I’m good for anything that’s on campus," another wrote.

"This will be must avoid TV," wrote a third.

"Investing in this show early," a fourth pledged.

For a network that has near total broadcast rights to the College Football Playoff, it's sometimes surprising that ESPN doesn't have more college football content on its core networks other than on Saturdays and the occasional guest spot from Paul Finebaum the week after.

This may be one of the biggest additions to ESPN's college football portfolio, but it probably won't be the last.
