ESPN believes Wisconsin football needs a miracle to upset Notre Dame

Less than a week from Wisconsin's Week 1 matchup against Notre Dame, ESPN isn't liking the Badgers' odds.

According to ESPN Analytics, Wisconsin is given just a 5.7% chance to walk out of Lambeau Field with a victory.

The 2026 Shamrock Series is set to put a National Championship contender against a program that is desperate to become bowl-eligible once again.

Notre Dame had previously been named roughly a three-touchdown favorite against the Badgers, so ESPN giving them a 94.3% chance to win should come as no surprise.

Obviously, these are just numbers, and nothing truly matters until everyone is out on the field.

The Fighting Irish have gotten off to a slow start in years past, so it'll be interesting to see if Wisconsin can shock the world and take down the US LBM Coaches Poll's preseason No. 5 ranked team.
