ESPN College GameDay Week 5 location announced for 2026 season

ESPN’s College GameDay has officially announced its Week 5 destination for the 2026 college football season.

After traveling to Knoxville for Saturday’s Texas-Tennessee game, the weekly college football pre-game show will be in Iowa City for next Saturday’s showdown between Iowa and Ohio State. It will be College GameDay’s first show in Iowa City in 20 years.

It promises to be a great game, especially after Iowa’s buzzer-beating win over Michigan on Saturday. On the final play, Iowa quarterback Hank Brown found Reece Vander Zee in the end zone to win it in “The Big House.”

Iowa is now 4-0 going into that game and will move up in the latest AP poll.

Don’t forget about Ohio State

Like Iowa, Ohio State will be full of confidence heading into this game after smashing Illinois 42-19 on Saturday. Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith had another ridiculous game, finishing with 12 receptions for 217 yards and four touchdowns.

Smith is Ohio State’s all-time leader in receiving yards and is the first OSU wideout to record 3,000 career yards.

Quarterback Julian Sayin also had a great outing, finishing the Illinois game with 367 yards through the air, four touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Kickoff for next Saturday’s contest will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
