College football fans are getting hyped for the new season, and ESPN has landed on a song that it hopes will pump supporters up even more leading up to kickoff each week.
The network announced Friday that it has tabbed Shaboozey's song 'High Noon' as its official anthem for the 2026-2027 college football season. 'High Noon' is a track from the Grammy-winning singer and songwriter's latest concept album, 'The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales'. The song features rapper Gunna as well.
“It’s so exciting to have ‘High Noon’ as the anthem for this upcoming college football season on ESPN,” Shaboozey said. “I’m excited for the song to be part of the energy, tradition, and memories of game day.”
ESPN has collaborated with performers for more than a decade to pick their official college football anthem, with other cover artists including Jelly Roll, Imagine Dragons, Yungblud, and more.
“ESPN is the home of college football, and our annual music anthem has become a signature part of how fans welcome the season. It has grown into a tradition of its own, a signal college football is back and it sets the tone for everything fans love about the sport. We are extremely excited to collab with both Shaboozey and Gunna and welcome them into this seasonal tradition," said ESPN's director of marketing, Maggie Lewin.
ESPN's college football coverage kicks off on August 29 as North Carolina and TCU will square off in Dublin, Ireland.
