ESPN predicts Georgia football's 5 most likely losses

The Georgia Bulldogs are the media's preseason pick to win the 2026 SEC championship. Georgia is expected to be favored in every game this fall, but that could change as the season unfolds.
The Bulldogs are back-to-back SEC champions and the rest of the SEC is looking to knock Georgia off its perch. Georgia has a favorable SEC schedule that is still among the most difficult in the country.
ESPN's matchup predictor gives Georgia a greater than 50% chance of winning every game this season. The team with the best shot at beating Georgia is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama has been a thorn in Georgia's side, but the Bulldogs did defeat the Crimson Tide in 2025 SEC championship. Alabama will be looking for revenge when the two SEC rivals meet on Oct. 10 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The Ole Miss Rebels have the second-best chance of beating Georgia. Ole Miss hosts Georgia on Nov. 7. The Rebels got the better of Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and beat the Dawgs the last time Georgia traveled to Oxford, Mississippi, in 2024.
ESPN also gives Florida (19.4%), South Carolina (20.0%) and Oklahoma (23.0%) a solid chance of knocking off Georgia.

- Ole Miss (away): 31.0%
- Oklahoma (home): 23.0%
- South Carolina (away): 20.0%
- Florida (neutral): 19.4%
Kirby Smart is focused on winning games
"What we focus on in Georgia is what wins football games, and that's my passion and energy," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said at SEC media days. "That's what we love to do. We love to grind it out, play physical football, be explosive in offense, be explosive in defense by how you create turnovers and how you create sacks."
