ESPN has predicted the Georgia Bulldogs to be the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff entering Saturday's game against the Auburn Tigers. Both Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach predict Georgia to land the top seed in their latest projections.

Georgia is fresh off a 20-17 road win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Bulldogs earned arguably the most impressive win of any team in the country and have been rewarded as the No. 1 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Poll.

Bonagura predicts that Georgia will play the No. 8 seed Utah Utes, who are in the Big 12, in the playoff quarterfinals. Bonagura has Georgia beating Utah and then No. 4 seed Indiana in the semifinals before advancing to play No. 2 Notre Dame in the national championship, which will be played in Las Vegas this season.

Schlabach projects Georgia to play the No. 8 seed Ole Miss Rebels in the quarterfinals. Georgia played Ole Miss in the quarterfinals and during the regular season last year and that exact scenario could happen again this season. Schlabach predicts the Bulldogs to beat the Rebels and quarterback Trinidad Chambliss this time to play No. 4 Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. Schlabach likes for Georgia to beat Ohio State and advance to play No. 2 Miami in the national championship.

Georgia's playoff hopes surged thanks to their road win over Alabama. The Bulldogs are 4-0 in SEC play and is the only remaining unbeaten team in the conference and in conference play. Georgia's tiebreaker bodes well for the Bulldogs to return to the SEC championship as coach Kirby Smart looks to win a third straight SEC title.
