ESPN sideline reporter Molly McGrath gets promotion for football season

Players aren’t the only ones moving up the depth chart this season. ESPN’s Molly McGrath has officially been promoted from the network’s college football team to the network’s NFL coverage.
Confirmed Friday, July 31, by Front Office Sports, McGrath will move to the NFL immediately at the start of the 2026 season as a sideline reporter and fill-in for “NFL Live,” which she’s already done.
“I’m grateful to ESPN for this opportunity and excited to bring the same preparation, passion and commitment that have guided my work in college football to our NFL audience,” said McGrath in an interview with FOS.

Spending over a decade at ESPN, McGrath has served as a sideline reporter and host for college basketball and football.
As the company enters its “Year of the Super Bowl” expect upgrades in coverage and programming leading up to the NFL’s biggest game of the season.
In fact, McGrath highlighted the opportunity to join Super Bowl telecasts, calling it a “lifelong dream.”

McGrath gets warm welcome to ‘NFL Live’
