ESPN SP+ predicts final score of Clemson football vs Furman in Week 13

The Clemson Tigers close out the home portion of their schedule with a visit from Furman in Week 13 of the 2025 college football season.

Clemson (5-5 overall, 4-4 conference) can become bowl eligible with a win over the Paladins (6-5), members of the Southern Conference who the Tigers have a long history with.

Clemson and Furman will be meeting for the 59th time in series history Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers lead the all-time series, 44-10-4, and have won the past 32 meetings beginning in 1938.

Furman totaled 448 yards of offense in a 32-14 win over VMI last week. Quarterback Trey Hedden threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns to receiver Evan James, who had nine catches for 70 yards.

Clemson overcame a goal-line stand to upset previously 21st-ranked Louisville last Friday, 20-19. Adam Randall had two touchdowns and rushed for 105 yards on 15 carries. Cade Klubnik, who threw for 187 yards on 22 of 34 passing, will play in his final home game Saturday.

ESPN predicts blowout win for Clemson football in Week 13

Ahead of Clemson-Furman, ESPN’s Bill Connelly predicted the final score using his popular SP+ metrics. Connelly has the Tigers winning their final home game of 2025 by a wide margin.

His final score prediction: Clemson 47, Furman 6.

Connelly gives the Tigers a win probability of 100%.

What are ESPN SP+ rankings?

According to Connelly, SP+ is “simply a measure of the most sustainable and predictable aspects of football. If you’re lucky or unimpressive in a win, your rating will probably fall. If you’re strong and unlucky in a loss, it will probably rise.”

“SP+ is not a résumé ranking, so it does not automatically give credit for big wins or particularly brave scheduling — no good predictive system does,” he adds.

Clemson vs Furman football start time, channel

Clemson-Furman is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on The CW. Thom Brennaman and Will Blackmon will have the TV call of the game.
