All week, ESPN personalities have been sending out the message: if Texas Tech football beats Kansas State, they'll likely be heading to Lubbock next week.

That became official after the Red Raiders' 43-20 victory over Kansas State. College GameDay will visit the Hub City in advance of Texas Tech's anticipated showdown with undefeated BYU on Nov. 8. The game is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. and will air on either ABC or ESPN.

College GameDay consists of ESPN personalities Desmond Howard, former Alabama football head coach Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, and Pat McAfee, along with host Rece Davis.

Lubbock last hosted College GameDay in 2008, when Texas Tech played Texas in one of the most memorable games in Red Raider football history. FOX's Big Noon Kickoff made the trek to Tech's campus last season.

BYU had an open date this week and enters next week's game 8-0 overall and 5-0 in Big 12 Conference play. Texas Tech improved to 8-1 and 5-1 with the win over the Wildcats.

The Cougars were ranked 10th in the nation, and the Red Raiders were ranked 13th in last week's polls.
