LSU football's roster is always among the most talented in college football. The 2026 roster will be no exception. New head coach Lane Kiffin inherited a crop of talented players in Baton Rouge, signed a handful in the transfer portal, and welcomed a dynamic true freshman class.
Today, we'll look at every player on LSU's roster who was given five-stars as a high school recruit. This is always an interesting exercise — some of these players have already met their potential, while for others, the five-star ranking can be a sign of something to come. Not every five-star is on the same schedule. Some emerge as true freshmen while others require more development. Some never meet the potential at all.
11 players on LSU's current roster were five-star recruits. Five of the 11 were signed by Brian Kelly and inherited by Kiffin. Four players in the group didn't start their careers at LSU, but transferred in the recent portal cycle.
Here's every five-star on LSU's roster.
Trey'Dez Green | Tight End | Signed with LSU in 2024
Trey'Dez Green emerged as one of the SEC's most dangerous tight ends in 2025. He signed with LSU as a five-star in 2024 and saw sparse action as a freshman. But he was too talented to stay off the field for long. Green is viewed as a first-round pick in 2027 and standing at 6-foot-7, he's a matchup nightmare for defenders. Look for Green to have an All-SEC year in Lane Kiffin's offense.
Jordan Ross | Defensive End | Transferred to LSU in 2026
Jordan Ross was a five-star in the 2024 recruiting class, signing with Tennessee. After two years with the Vols, Ross hit the transfer portal. Ross displayed talent as a pass rusher but never quite claimed a full-time role in Knoxville. Still, the talent is clear, and there's a lot of excitement for what Ross can do for LSU in 2026.
Weston Davis | Offensive Tackle | Signed with LSU in 2024
Weston Davis, a Texas native, signed with LSU in 2024. He didn't play much as a freshman, but took over LSU's starting right tackle role in 2025. The results were mixed. Davis was a liability for most of the year before showing improvement as a pass protector down the stretch. Davis was LSU's starting right tackle during spring practice, signaling the new staff's belief in what Davis can be.
Richard Anderson | Defensive Line | Signed with LSU in 2026
Few true freshman geenrated the buzz that Richard Anderson did in spring practice. The early enrollee is pushing for immediate playing time and could play a significant role on LSU's 2026 defensive line. Anderson was one of the top defensive line recruits
Corey Barber | Wide Receiver | Signed with LSU in 2026
Barber was a late addition to LSU's 2026 recruiting class, following Kiffin and staff from Ole Miss to LSU. Barber is a dynamic wide receiver prospect who projects as a guy who can play on the outside or catch and run from the slot. I wouldn't expect to see Barber a ton in 2026, but if he has a chance to earn some targets.
Lamar Brown | Defensive Line | Signed with LSU in 2026
Lamar Brown, a Baton Rouge native, was the top recruit in the 2026 class. Brown was a stud in high school, excelling on both sides of the ball. But the defensive line is where Brown wanted to play in college. Brown was not an early enrollee, so he didn't get a head start on pushing for playing time in 2026, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see the talented athlete claim a spot in the rotation.
Eugene Wilson | Wide Receiver | Transferred to LSU in 2026
Eugene Wilson transferred to LSU after spending the first three years of his career at Florida. Wilson's career in Gainesville was marred by injuries, but if he can remain healthy in Baton Rouge, he has the chance to be a difference maker in Lane Kiffin's offense.
Jordan Seaton | Offensive Tackle | Transferred to LSU in 2026
Aside from QB Sam Leavitt, Seaton could be the most important addition of LSU's 2026 transfer portal class. The left tackle from Colorado is a potential first-round pick in 2027 and one of the best blind side protectors in college football. With Leavitt returning from an injury, LSU needs Seaton to have an elite year at left tackle.
Dominick McKinley | Defensive Tackle | Signed with LSU in 2024
McKinley, a Louisiana native, was a key piece of LSU's 2024 recruiting class. He was committed to Texas A&M for months, but LSU stuck with it and pulled off the flip. McKinley played as a true freshman in 2024 and earned a bigger role as a sophomore in 2025. He's shown steady improvement across his time in Baton Rouge and figures to be a starter again in 2026.
DJ Pickett | Cornerback | Signed with LSU in 2025
Pickett was the crown jewel of LSU's 2025 recruiting class and the reason why was evident in 2025. Pickett earned a starting gig as a true freshman and lived up to the billing. Pickett remained with LSU through the coaching transition and has a chance to be an All-American corner in 2026.
Husan Longstreet | Quarterback | Transferred to LSU in 2026
Longstreet was one of the top high school QBs in the class of 2025, but he only spent one year at USC before transferring to LSU. Longstreet is expected to serve as Sam Leavitt's backup in 2026 before competing for the starting job in 2027. Longstreet didn't play much at USC in 2025. He's a talented passer who owns a big arm and can do damage with his legs, too.
Harlem Berry | Running Back | Signed with LSU in 2025
Berry signed with LSU in 2025. From New Orleans, he was considered the top running back in his class. Former LSU RBs coach Frank Wilson took the lead on Berry's recruitment, but Berry stuck with the Tigers through the coaching transition. Berry is an explosive back who can run between the tackles and catch the ball out of the backfield. He has a chance to carve out a major role in 2026.
