Tennessee football might have a guy in freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon.

The former five-star Vols recruit had a monster day in his first start for Tennessee, throwing for 226 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for an additional 68 yards and two touchdowns in the 56-9 Saturday win over Furman.

Brandon's stat line is impressive on its own, but it's also a historic mark in the SEC for a first-time starter at quarterback. Per SEC Network, he's the first SEC player with three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in their first start since Auburn quarterback Cam Newton in 2010. How about that?

Vols fans have plenty to be excited about with Brandon. If he really has a ceiling like Newton, watch out.

Did Tennessee honor Dolly Parton on Saturday?

The school sure did.
