Quinn Fordham Gray Sr. is New Orleans-bound.
The newly hired Florida A&M head football coach has been selected as a head coach for the fifth annual HBCU Legacy Bowl.
Gray was picked for his outing in his final season at Albany State, as the Golden Rams went 12-2, their most wins in a single season, and won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and Black College Football National Championship for NCAA Division II.
FAMU hired Gray on Dec. 23, 2025, and he signed a five-year contract worth $1.4 million to coach his alma mater’s football program.
Gray will co-head coach Team Robinson alongside Prairie View A&M’s Tremaine Jackson. Team Robinson, named after legendary Grambling State head coach Eddie Robinson, represents the SIAC and Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Team Robinson’s opponent is Team Gaither, comprised of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association teams. South Carolina State’s Chennis Berry and Johnson C. Smith’s Maurice Flowers will coach Team Gaither, named after the longtime Rattlers head coach Jake Gaither.
