Barring an unprecedented seventh season of college football eligibility, Carson Beck's final college football game will come with the Miami Hurricanes this Monday against Indiana for the national title. So who will Miami tab to replace him in 2026 and beyond?
According to 247Sports reporters Matt Zenitz, Brandon Marcello and Chris Hummer, Miami is considered "an early team to watch" for Duke quarterback Darian Mensah. The Blue Devils QB, who led the ACC in attempts, completions, yards and touchdown passes in 2025, recently entered the transfer portal.
Mensah completed 66.8-percent of his passes for 3,973 yards and 34 touchdowns with just six interceptions in 14 games, which included an ACC Championship win, All-ACC honors and a Sun Bowl MVP win.

Missing Beck
Carson Beck is going to be a hard player to replace, whether they wind up with Mensah or any other starting quarterback. His two years of experience with the Georgia Bulldogs and two championship seasons as a backup made him the crown jewel of last year's transfer portal crop.
Beck rewarded Miami with one of the most prolific seasons in school history. His 3,581 passing yards and 29 touchdowns both rank top-three for a single season in school history. With just one TD pass and less than 100 yards against Indiana on Monday, he will stand behind only Cam Ward for the most in each in a single season in Hurricanes history.
More importantly, Beck has gotten the Hurricanes closer to national title glory than any quarterback since Ken Dorsey. His stellar performances in wins over Texas A&M, Ohio State and Ole Miss will ensure he's never without friends in South Beach.
But if Beck can finish the job with a national title, he will rank among the few quarterbacks in college football history to have three national championships.
