Realignment has spoiled and ruined many college football rivalries. Sometimes, though, schools put their collective heads together and get the games fans love back on the schedules.

That is now the case for Notre Dame and USC. The football teams will meet again in 2030, as the start of a four-game series.

The teams have played 95 times. Let's hope they add another year at some point to get to the century mark.

"Our desire to play this game — this game's part of our history, our college football history — has never been questioned, never will," USC coach Lincoln Riley said. "I think this benefits everyone. You know, I guess it benefits USC. I think it benefits Notre Dame. I think this benefits college football."
