Notre Dame will have an opportunity to lock down a highly-coveted lineman in the 2027 class when he gets to campus.

Hayes Fawcett of Rivals, announced that David Folorunsho has made a decision on five official visits he will be taking and Notre Dame was selected as one of his destinations. David is a 6-foot, 4-inch and 280-pound defensive lineman playing at St. Patrick High school in Chicago, IL. There seem to be a high discrepancy in regards to his rankings but according to the 247 Sports Composite, he is a four-star ranking whom is the No. 20 defensive lineman in his class and No. 163 overall.

On tape, it is easy to see why he has become such a coveted recruit. David displays great strength and explosiveness. In his junior season, he recorded 55 total tackles, along with 18 tackles for loss and five sacks.

David has received a flood of new offers lately including one from Ohio State, Alabama, Washington, Michigan State amongst many others. But Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has put in a prediction in favor of Notre Dame for winning the recruitment, and there are relational reasons to think the Irish might have an edge. Folorunsho's high school head coach is former Notre Dame standout Tom Zbikowski.

All signs point towards Notre Dame having the potential to lock this recruitment down when he visits South Bend.
