Nov. 29—BROOKINGS — Look out, FCS.

The Jackrabbits are good again.

One week after South Dakota State snapped a four-game losing streak to lock up a playoff spot, the Jacks looked like their old selves, jumping on New Hampshire and advancing to the second round with a 41-3 win before 3,843 cold-braving fans at snowy Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.

Chase Mason returned to make his first start after missing the last five games and was brilliant, completing 16-of-20 throws for 230 yards and three touchdowns, as the Jacks scored on each of their first four drives of the day to put the Wildcats away early.

Julius Loughridge rushed or 100 yards and a touchdown (surpassing the 1,000 yard mark on the season along the way), and the SDSU defense kept UNH (8-5) out of the end zone.

Grahm Goering had six catches for 75 yards while Jack Smith caught three balls for 66 yards. Smith, Alex Bullock and Coleman Kuntz each had touchdown catches.

Bryce Johnson had 10 tackles to lead the SDSU defense, while Joe Ollman had eight stops. Isaiah Johnson had an interception and Logan Green a sack.

SDSU (9-4) will travel to Missoula next Saturday to face No. 3 Montana at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
