Five Holland-area high school football players earn all-state honors

Five high school football players have been named all-state by the Michigan Sportswriters.
Two earned first-team all-state honors, while three earned second-team plaudits.
Zeeland West's Brandon Holman was named first-team all-state as a running back in Division 3-4.
The junior rushed for 1,262 yards on 183 carries. He scored 18 touchdowns on the ground and another six in the air.
He also had 135 tackles and four interceptions as a defensive back.
Zeeland West's Mason Myers was named first-team all-state as a defensive lineman in Division 3-4.
The senior had 26 tackles in the regular season as teams ran away from him. His biggest contribution came in the postseason when he had 12 tackles for losses, including seven sacks in the playoffs.
Zeeland East wide receiver Isaiah Boonstra earned second-team all-state honors in Division 3-4.
The junior had 46 catches for 814 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had 117 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Saugatuck's Max Page earned second-team all-state honors as a linebacker in Division 7-8. .
The senior made 80 tackles, including 48 solo. He also rushed for 1,192 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Saugatuck kicker Dante Holley also earned second-team all-state honors in Division 7-8.
The junior made all five field goal attempts and was 27-for-29 on extra points. He averaged 55 yards per kickoff and had a school-record 19 touchbacks.
