Five-Star EDGE KJ Green Now Visiting LSU Tigers This Weekend

The LSU Tigers were busy this past weekend as they hosted a group of some top recruits from around the country, and it looks like they don't have any plans of slowing down this weekend.

Five star defensive lineman KJ Green announced on social media that he would now be making an official visit to Baton Rouge this weekend, after visiting with a number of top schools over the past few weeks.

In the past month, Green has visited the following schools (in order of when he went): Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Texas Longhorns, South Carolina Gamecocks and Alabama Crimson Tide. Now the Tigers enter the sweepstakes for the highly sought-after defensive end.

247Sports has Green as a five star and the No. 8 overall player in the country. The composite rankings drop him down to No. 74. Either way, he is a top-end player and would be a key piece to what LSU is building on defense.

This past recruiting class saw the Tigers bring in essentially four Top 100 players on the defensive line alone. They also already have four-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant committed, though he is also still taking visits elsewhere. In today's recruiting, no one should be considered for the team until they are signed. LSU also hosted five-star 2027 DL Jalen Brewster last weekend.

The Tigers are going to be continue to at least be in the conversations for these top players. Green is the latest player to enter their sights, and they are going hard after him. He is close with new defensive line coach Sterling Lucas, a noted elite recruiter, and that seems to be playing well into LSU's court.
