The Georgia Bulldogs are gaining significant interest from five-star running back recruit David Gabriel Georges, who named his top eight schools on Monday. Georges is Tennessee’s high school football player of the year for the 2025 season and he named Georgia along with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Tennessee Volunteers, Auburn Tigers, Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, Miami Hurricanes and Ole Miss Rebels as his top eight schools.
Gabriel Georges is a five-star running back from the class of 2027. The 6-foot, 205-pound halfback plays high school football for Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Gabriel Georges is a native of Quebec, Canada, but moved to Chattanooga.
In 2024, he had 1,103 yards and 14 touchdowns on 114 carries, but in 2025, he exploded for 1,750 yards and 27 touchdowns, helping lead Baylor to an undefeated 12-0 campaign and a TSSAA Division II-AAA State Championship. He became Tennessee’s Mr. Football in the 2025 DII-AAA as a result. He is the No. 1 running back and No. 14 overall player in the class of 2027.
He’s gone to three unofficial visits with Georgia and Ohio State and two with Tennessee and Ole Miss. On3’s predictive model has him committing to Ohio State, but 247Sports hasn’t released a Crystal Ball prediction.
If he committed to Georgia, he would be the crown jewel of the No. 7 class in the nation. The Bulldogs has already earned commitments from four-star cornerback Donte Wright and four-star offensive tackle Kelsey Adams, along with four three-stars. However, Gabriel Georges wouldn’t just be the best recruit from 2027, but the best running back recruit since Nate Frazier in 2024.
