Five things to expect in USC’s matchup with Fresno State

It is once again game week for USC football! The Trojans will return to action on Friday when they host Fresno State at the Coliseum.

Priority to each game this season, I will be giving you five things to expect. So without further ado, here are my predictions for USC-Fresno State.

The kid stays hot

Last week, true freshman wide receiver Trent Mosley took the country by storm in his college football debut. This week, he stays hot, scoring another touchdown.

Jordan finds the end zone

Ahead of the opener against San Jose State, picked running back Waymond Jordan to score the Trojans’ first touchdown of the season. Unfortunately, that pick proved to be wrong, as Jordan did not find the end zone at all in the victory. This week, however, he gets his first score of the year.

Another Maiava hat trick

Last week, USC quarterback Jayden Maiava accounted for three total touchdowns. He does so again against Fresno State.

Taking it away

Against San Jose State, Gary Patterson’s USC defense notably did not force a single turnover. That changes this week.

Slightly larger attendance

There has been plenty of scrutiny over the past few days regarding the attendance at the Coliseum for the San Jose State game. With cooler temperatures this time around, we get a bigger crowd than last week, but the game being played on a Friday still limits things. I am predicting an announced attendance of around 60,000 fans.
