Five things to expect in USC’s matchup with Washington

On Saturday, USC will host Washington at the Coliseum. After a brutal loss to Oregon last week, the Trojans will be looking to get back on track against another West Coast foe.
Prior to each game this season, I will be giving you five things to expect. So without further ado, here are my predictions for USC-Washington.
USC takes the ball
USC head coach Lincoln Riley has drawn criticism for his decision to take the ball first last week against Oregon, which wound up backfiring. Unfortunately, Riley does not learn his lesson this week, and again elects to receive if the Trojans win the coin toss.
Kayden again
USC true freshman wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt had his best game as a Trojan to date last week, catching seven passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. He goes over 100 yards receiving again this week.
King of the Dawgs
USC running back King Miller also has another big game. Miller rushes for over 100 yards for the third time in four weeks.
Letting Williams shine
Time and again over the past few years, USC’s defense has made mediocre opposing players look like stars. That continues Saturday, with Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr.—who has had a somewhat disappointing start to the season—throwing for over 250 yards and two touchdowns.
Winning ugly
Most sportsbooks currently have USC favored by 9.5 points. The Trojans win the game, but fail to cover the spread, leaving fans unsatisfied despite the victory.
