Florida football's recruiting efforts are in high gear as spring practice rolls along, and among the recent unofficial visits to campus was one made by four-star interior offensive lineman Jordan Agbanoma.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 295-pound lineman out of Loganville (Georgia) Grayson in the 2027 cycle was originally scheduled to stop by the Swamp in early March. He finally made it to town this week, spending Thursday and Friday feeling out the program.

"The visit was good," Agbanoma told Swamp247. "I watched practice, intense, great atmosphere, great place and everything."

The Peach State product spent some time with offensive line coach Phil Trautwein, who has spearheaded the Gators' recruiting efforts. Agbanoma got to see him conduct his squad's practice, while also getting in some direct contact for a more interpersonal understanding of each other.

"I got to learn more about him, he got to learn more about me," he offered.

Among the rising junior's takeaways was what Trautwein and the program have to offer him.

"He can develop me," Agbanoma said. "He can turn me into an NFL draft pick."

He also had a chance to meet with the head coach, Jon Sumrall, while getting a feel for the team as a whole.

"I really like Coach Sumrall and all the guys in the program," Agbanoma said. "I like how they practice. We have a lot of goals of winning a national championship and getting to the NFL."

As a result, the Orange and Blue improved its standing in the race for his blue-chip talent, rising to a top-three status in his eyes.

"(The visit) really moved them up," Agbanoma noted. "Florida's definitely top three right now."

Jordan Agbanoma's official visit schedule

So far, Agbanoma has an official visit date with Florida set for the weekend of June 11. Additionally, he has stops scheduled with the Texas A&M Aggies (May 28-30), the Nebraska Cornhuskers (June 5-7) and the Georgia Bulldogs (June 19-21) this summer.
