Florida football to hire Tulane OC as QB coach, Tulane DC as ILB coach

Florida football coach Jon Sumrall is set to hire Tulane offensive coordinator Joe Craddock as its new quarterbacks coach and Tulane defensive coordinator Greg Gasparato as its new inside linebackers coach, sources confirmed to The Sun.
Craddock has spent four years working under new Florida Gators football coach Jon Sumrall as the offensive coordinator at Tulane and Troy. Prior to that, Craddock had stints as an offensive coordinator at UAB (2020-21), Arkansas (2018-19) and SMU (2015-17).
At UF, Craddock will work with the quarterbacks under Buster Faulkner, who was hired from Georgia Tech to become Florida's offensive coordinator earlier this month. Craddock has worked with both as both offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in his two-year stint at Tulane, working with both Darian Mensah, who transferred to Duke and led the Blue Devils to an ACC title, and Jake Retzlaff, who led the Green Wave to a 10-3 record, AAC title and College Football Playoff trip this season.
Under Gasparato, Tulane's defense led the AAC in sacks with 36 and tied for the conference lead in turnovers forced at 25. Gasparato has prior experience as a defensive coordinator with Sumrall at Troy and an outside linebackers/safeties coach at Louisville under Scott Satterfield.
Sumrall's staff is continued to expect to take shape after the Green Wave were eliminated in the CFP following a 41-10 loss at Ole Miss. He's also bringing Tulane general manager Cole Heard to work in UF's new front office structure under Florida GM Dave Caldwell.
