Florida State offers elite 2028 linebacker

Florida State has four prospect committed in the 2028 class, and they're on a mission to add to it in a big way. On Monday, they extended a scholarship offer to four-star linebacker Jameer Miles out of Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Illinois.

"After a call with Coach Nick I’m blessed to receive an offer from FSU!!," he announced on social media.

He has 16 total offers on the table from some very prominent schools. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oregon Ducks, Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas A&M Aggies, Indiana Hoosiers, Penn State Nittany Lions, and more have offered Miles.

Miles is the nation's No. 64 player and the No. 3 linebacker in 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder is also the No. 6 recruit in the state of Illinois.

He lines up at multiple positions at Carmel. In addition to linebacker, Miles also plays wide receiver.
