As expected, Florida State lost another prospect from its 2027 class.

Athlete DaYon Cooper announced today that he’d be reopening his recruitment. He’s coming off a visit to Tennessee, who is likely recruiting him to play on offense.

He committed to FSU as a defensive back but has recently expressed more interest in playing wide receiver in college, which FSU did not agree to. He’ll likely end up flipping to the Volunteers or possibly the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who are also open to playing him on offense. Sounds like this move is best for both parties, as FSU is doing just fine at receiver.
