With spring football practices about to begin — and college coaches ready to crisscross the state to find their next impact players — it's time for the USA TODAY Florida Network to release its pre-spring top 100 for the 2027 class.
The Top 100 is the annual list of the top rising senior recruits in the state and continues today with No. 40-21.
USA TODAY Florida Network reporters have seen players in person at games and camps around the state, studied game film, and spoken to dozens of coaches and analysts to get the best information possible on each recruit.
Previous No. 1s include American Heritage quarterback Dia Bell (2025, signed with Texas), Zephyrhills safety D.J. Pickett (2024, LSU), Chaminade-Madonna wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (2023, Ohio State) and Lakeland cornerback Cormani McClain (2022, Colorado). Pickett and Smith both earned Freshman All-American honors.
National power IMG Academy leads all schools in the state with 11 players on the top 100, including five in the top 10.
