The TCU Horned Frogs are scheduled to battle the USC Trojans in the 2025 Alamo Bowl on Dec. 30. Because the offseason is technically underway for most programs, transfer portal movement is beginning all around college football and TCU saw its first player, cornerback Jonah Martinez, declare for the transfer portal on Tuesday. A former three-star JUCO recruit, Martinez was an All-Conference selection at Long Beach City College in 2024. The 6-foot, 190-pounder did not see any game action for the Horned Frog defense during the 2025 season.
Prior to signing with the Horned Frogs, Martinez held offers from Arizona, West Virginia, South Florida and San Diego State. Martinez signed with TCU on Dec. 4, 2024 after committing to the Horned Frogs a week earlier. Martinez enrolled in January 2025 and will depart after one year with the program.
