Former Alabama defensive lineman to reportedly reenter transfer portal

Former Alabama defensive lineman Hunter Osborne is reportedly reentering the NCAA transfer portal, per On3's Hayes Fawcett.
Osborne spent the 2025 season at Virginia, recording 15 tackles, two TFL, and one sack. Osborne will now have two years of eligibility remaining.
Osborne was a four-star recruit for Alabama. He had dozens of D1 offers. Osborne redshirted at Alabama in 2023, and appeared in four games in 2024 in which he recorded three total tackles. Osborne recorded a season-high four tackles vs. Stanford this past season.
Osborne is a 6'4, 305 lb. defensive lineman out of Trussville, Alabama. He was an edge rusher with good gap discipline and range who was converted to defensive tackle. The Division I transfer portal opens today and closes Jan. 16. Osborne is a physically gifted defensive lineman who will likely get signed during this period.
