According to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel, former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive tackle Jehiem Oatis is set to reenter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens.

Among the players who transferred from Alabama last offseason, Oatis recently spent the 2025 season at Colorado where he appeared in 11 games with the Buffaloes. The veteran defensive tackle finished the season with nine total tackles, as well as a pass defense.

One of the top defensive names in Alabama’s 2022 recruiting class, Oatis, prior to this past fall, spent the first three seasons of his college football career with the Crimson Tide, headlined by a strong freshman campaign. From 2022-24, Oatis had a combined 57 tackles, three TFL, 1.5 sacks, and five pass defenses with the Crimson Tide.

Oatis is the third former Alabama transfer to announce their intentions to reenter the portal, joined by quarterback Dylan Lonergan and safety Tony Mitchell.
