Former LSU football cornerback Cor’Dale Flott signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Tennessee Titans on Monday afternoon, per The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. This contract makes Flott the 26th-highest paid cornerback in the NFL, with an APY of $15 million.
Flott spent three seasons with LSU, arriving in Baton Rouge as a three-star recruit and the No. 42 cornerback in the 2019 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. Although he started only one game for the Tigers as a true freshman, Flott was part of the 2019 National Championship team, seeing 12 snaps against Clemson in that year's title game.
He spent two more seasons in Baton Rouge, starting 21 games and recording 99 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and one interception as a Tiger. He chose not to play his senior season at LSU, instead entering the 2022 NFL Draft.
Flott was selected in the third round of that year’s draft by the New York Giants, where he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career. 2025 was a sort of breakout year for the former Tiger, starting 16 games and recording 32 tackles, eight pass breakups, and an interception, per PFF. His 68.1 PFF coverage grade ranked 35th among NFL cornerbacks who played at least 150 snaps in 2025.
It’s great to see Flott land this impressive deal, and it’s good to see yet another LSU defensive back secure a big contract, reinforcing the Tigers’ status as “DBU”.
