Former Michigan interim coach joins Big Ten Network as an analyst

Former Michigan interim coach Biff Poggi is back in the Big Ten. Only this time, he'll be in the studio.

On Wednesday, the Big Ten announced that Poggi will be joining the Big Ten Network as part of a rotating cast of analysts for its studio shows during the 2026 college football season. Those shows include The B1G Show, B1G Today, B1G Countdown to Kickoff, B1G Live: Football Game Break, B1G Live: Football Postgame and The Final Drive.

Poggi, who is known for wearing cutoff t-shirts on the sideline, is out of coaching this season after previously serving as the associate head coach at Michigan. He also served as the interim coach in three games last season, originally when Moore was suspended for the third and fourth games and later for the Citrus Bowl after Moore was fired.

It was his second stint at Michigan, and his time with the Wolverines sandwiched a two-year head coaching tenure at Charlotte. Poggi was also previously a successful high school head coach at Gilman School and Saint Frances Academy, both in Baltimore.
