After taking a visit to Eugene, former Nebraska Cornhuskers starting quarterback Dylan Raiola has announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks.

Raiola was in Eugene over the weekend for a visit, and he received multiple predictions on Sunday morning to ultimately land with the Ducks.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder started right away for the Cornhuskers as a true freshman in 2024, leading the team to a 7-6 record while throwing 13 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.

He started nine games in 2025 before going down with a broken fibula in early November. He’d greatly improved his accuracy (72.4% completion percentage) and decision-making, throwing for 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns to just six interceptions. Nebraska finished 7-6 for the second straight season.

Raiola was a five-star and ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class before committing to Nebraska. As a transfer, he’s rated as a four-star and the No. 5 quarterback and No. 14 player overall, per 247 Sports.

Because he started his first two seasons at the collegiate level, Raiola still has a redshirt to use. That may come into play with his commitment to the Ducks, as Oregon’s current starter in Dante Moore may decide to forego the 2026 NFL draft and remain as the starter next season, relegating Raiola to a backup role.

That’s a similar blueprint that the fellow five-star Moore followed when he arrived at Oregon, as he backed up sixth-year senior Dillon Gabriel for one season before taking the reins in 2025 as the starter.

If Moore departs for the NFL, it will be interesting to see what the Ducks decide to do. Raiola is expected to be healthy at some point this spring after recovering from a broken fibula, but Oregon could go after another portal QB in whom to compete with the Nebraska transfer for the QB1 spot.

Raiola will have two seasons of eligibility remaining with a redshirt still available to use.
