Former Notre Dame wide receiver Jayden Thomas declares for NFL Draft

Former Notre Dame wide receiver Jayden Thomas is headed to the NFL.

Thomas, who left Notre Dame and headed to the Virginia Cavaliers, will be declaring for the 2026 NFL draft. He posted a note on X.com, formerly known as Twitter, thanking those involved in both the Notre Dame and Virginia programs, as well as the fans of both.

Thomas had big years for the Fighting Irish in 2022 and 2023 seasons, with 23 catches for 361 yards and three touchdowns in 2022 and 21 receptions for 310 yards and 2 TDs in 2023. He fell off in 2024, with 18 catches for 167 yards and 2 TDs.

After totaling 64 catches for 838 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns at Notre Dame, Thomas had just three receptions for 9 yards with Virginia, and he played in just nine games.
