A former Michigan State football assistant coach will reportedly be joining the Florida State staff.
Matt Zenitz of 247Sports is reporting that former Michigan State secondary coach Blue Adams is in the process of finalizing a deal with Florida State. Per Zenitz, Adams will serve as the cornerbacks coach with the Seminoles.
Adams was at Michigan State for the last two seasons, coming to East Lansing, Mich. with former head coach Jonathan Smith. He coached the secondary while with the Spartans, and it is now apparent that he will not be returning to Michigan State under new head coach Pat Fitzgerald.
Michigan State has yet to announce a hiring of their new secondary / defensive backs coach under Fitzgerald. That is one of the remaining open spots on that side of the ball, with other spots on the defensive staff either announced or reported already.
