According to a report by ESPN's Pete Thamel, LSU football offensive coordinator Charlie Weis and four assistants will return to Ole Miss ahead of the College Football Playoffs. They've accepted jobs in Baton Rouge but remain at their posts in Oxford for the rest of the season.

Tight ends coach Joe Cox, wide receivers coach George McDonald, assistant quarterbacks coach Dane Stevens and slot wide receivers coach Sawyer Jordan, along with Weis returned to Mississippi Monday to begin preparations for the Rebels' first-round game against Tulane.

The five coaches will then join Lane Kiffin, newly hired LSU head coach, on his new staff. Kiffin allowed the group to work alongside new Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding in what is Ole Miss's first College Football Playoff appearance.

The Rebels defeated the Green Wave 45-10 in Oxford on September 20. The rematch comes after Tulane won the American Conference championship, which cemented its postseason berth.
