The last of the major college football postseason All-American teams was announced on Thursday with the announcement of the Football Writers Association of America first and second teams. As with the other four, there were plenty of OSU players recognized, and in fact, four total.
Three players, Caleb Downs, Jeremiah Smith, and Kayden McDonald, all made the FWAA first team, making them unanimous First Team All-Americans since they all three were named to the first team on the American Football Coaches Association, Associated Press, Sporting News, and Walter Camp Foundation teams as well.
In addition to those three, linebacker Arvell Reese was named to the second team, and he already qualified as a consensus First Team All-American after landing on the AFCA, AP, and Walter Camp teams. He joins Downs, Smith, and McDonald as consensus All-Americans after all appeared on at least three of the five major publications.
