Four-star flip target to visit FSU

The FSU Seminoles do not have an offensive lineman committed in their 2027 or 2028 recruiting classes, something that head coach Mike Norvell and offensive line coach Herb Hand have to fix. They are working to flip several talented players, and one of their newer targets is Omari Lawson, a Syracuse Orange commit.

Lawson is a four-star prospect in the 2028 recruiting class who committed to Syracuse on Oct. 24, 2025. His recruitment has picked up since then, with the Seminoles extending him a scholarship offer on Sept. 11. Things have progressed quickly since then, with him set to visit FSU on Saturday for their game against the Virginia Cavaliers.

It will be a massive opportunity for the Seminoles to make a move in his recruitment. He now has over 15 scholarship offers, with the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, and LSU Tigers also offering the 6-foot-6, 260-pounder. With his recruitment having well over a year remaining, this is a battle that is just getting started.

Lawson is ranked as the No. 119 overall player and No. 15 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 15 player from Florida.

FSU's 2028 recruiting class currently has three commitments in three-star edge Meshi Dobson, three-star athlete Chayse Brown, and three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn. The class is ranked as the 9th best in the country by 247Sports.
