The Georgia Bulldogs lost out on another top recruit to the Miami Hurricanes. Four-star safety Andre Hyppolite committed to the Miami Hurricanes, according to Hayes Fawcett. He chose the Hurricanes over Georgia and Florida.
Hyppolite is a four-star prospect from the class of 2027. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound safety plays high school football for North Miami Beach in Miami, Florida. He is the No. 10 safety prospect and No. 142 recruit in the nation. He is also the No. 15 prospect from Florida, so he has committed to stay home to continue his playing career.
247Sports predicted him to go to the Hurricanes, so this is hardly surprising. Miami has the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, including four five-stars. One of them is cornerback Donte Wright, who they flipped from Georgia in May. He is the No. 7 overall recruit in the nation.
Georgia has the No. q4 recruiting class in the nation, and while they’ve earned several high-end recruits in June, they haven’t secured a safety or cornerback commit. For safety, they’ve heavily recruited four-star Ta’Shawn Poole, although he seems likely to commit to Florida State. They’ve also made the top two for four-star safeties Jayden Aparicio-Bailey and Seth Williams, and they just had a visit with four-star safety Adryan Cole, who seems most likely to commit to Georgia.
For cornerbacks, they’ve made the top four of four-star Hayden Stepp, and four-star Censere Gaylord is a name to watch. He comes from IMG Academy, and the Georgia pipeline from IMG Academy is strong, with Zech Fort, Ellis Robinson IV, Nolan Smith, Tre’ McKitty, and Daylen Everette all coming from there.
